Painter and graphic artist Roger Raveel (1921-2013) was one of the most important post-war painters in Belgium. Throughout his life, he lived and worked in Machelen, a village located on the River Lys where you can also find the museum that bears his name.
It displays a vast collection of his works in a remarkable museum building designed by architect Stéphane Beel.
